BFlat will present performances by 'Param' and 'Project Mishram', on August 18, 9 pm at its premises.
'Param' is a city-based Hindustani progressive rock band. Led by Vijay Hegde, a Hindustani vocalist for 20 years, the band is noted for its seamless amalgamation of lead vocals influenced by Hindustani classical music with traditional blues and rock sound. 'Param' has performed at major rock venues and shared the stage with top artistes like Baiju Dharmajan, Sanjeev Thomas and Karthik Mani.
'Project Mishram' is a band based on the word 'mishram', which means 'mix' in Sanskrit. Best described as progressive Carnatic fusion, their sound is centered around Carnatic music, infused with small amounts of various styles like Jazz, Reggaeton, Metalcore, EDM, and Djent, to bring out a unique sound. 'Project Mishram' has opened for artistes like Raghu Dixit, Anushka Manchanda, Sid Sriram, and Shaan.
