Where do you get your inspiration from?
My designs are essentially inspired by the Islamic
culture. I also get motivated by my travels and from what I read a lot.
Pastel or bright colours, which one will you pick first and why?
Pastels for sure. It works all round the year and for all kind of occasions. The wearability factor when it comes to pastels is more with today's brides.
One of the most challenging outfits that you have created...
It was a jacket which had multiple layers of embroidery. It was an exquisite couture.
Do you follow a trend or create your own...
Trends are short lived. I incorporate my own style to the trends and get the best out of it.

Tell us a bit more about your latest collection...
It is called 'Keyifli' which means blissful in Turkish. I have accentuated the feminine side with this collection. The Islamic culture in terms of floral motifs and embroidery are explored immensely in this collection. The silhouettes are a contemporary take on Indian attires.
What are the fabrics you have used?
I have used light-weight silk 'muga' and chiffon that is great for the current season.

Contemporary 'kurtas' and Turkish jackets that are paired with 'sharara' pants, 'kurta' capes, saris and more. English rose, taupe, olive green are a few of the colours that I have highlighted.Image may be NSFW.
